What to wear on a sim day
Practical kit notes for first-timers.
The essentials
- Sturdy waterproof boots — fields can be muddy.
- Trousers you don't mind getting dirty.
- A waterproof jacket — the day goes ahead in light rain.
- Eye and ear protection (most venues provide these if you don't have your own).
- A few pairs of socks — wet feet ruin a day.
You don't need to dress like you're on a driven grouse moor. Tweed is welcome; technical outdoor gear is equally fine.
